Our Mission
About constraintsTo make an e-payment one needs a device connected to the Internet. That is one constraint that we at PayPerNet can't take away. But there are other constraints. Owning a debit or credit card, for one. That usually implies having a bank account. Should that really be necessary just to pay for something? We at PayPerNet don't think so. In fact, we're proving the contrary, and we believe that to be a big improvement. Because even if somebody owns the necessary cards and accounts, it may be that he wishes to avoid using them for some or all on-line purchases for reasons such as his security or privacy. As access to the internet gets easier, cheaper and ever more global, more and more people will demand a transparent payment method that does not force them to disclose their personal information to third parties. A method that does not force them to trust their personal information to remote and possibly ill-protected merchant sites for an indefinite period, where the use of that information may be governed by foreign laws. PayPerNet will be their provider of choice. About anyone,anywhereE-shoppers are not regular shoppers. They can shop all over the globe never moving from behind their screens. Shop, yes. But buy?
Buying requires paying and when it comes to payments, things get a lot more complicated.
If a customer from, say, Japan wishes to buy something from a vendor in Germany
then he may very well be requested to send a fax with a copy of a proof of identity and a copy of his credit card.
If he sends the fax it's up to the German vendor to determine
if that Japanese drivers license in fact matches the cardholder's identity.
But the vendor might not know what a Japanese drivers license looks like.
He could decide that the risk is not worth the sale.
But if he does make the sale, then the customer should probably call his card
company anyway to see if they actually granted permission for that 'odd' charge. Or? With the arrival of PayPerNet, credit cards and all their associated problems for e-commerce will become redundant for your on-line purchases. With PayPerNet you really can pay any merchant in the world, without hassle. You don't need to sign up. You don't need to show proof of identity. You can remain anonymous if you want. The only limitation is that PayPerNet needs to have a presence in your country. |
