PayPerNet is a flexible payment system in every sense of the word. In principle, you do not even need a website to process a PayPerNet payment. Unless your transaction volume is so low that you don't mind the overhead of manual processing, the PayPerNet vendor kit is a requirement, as is a Java-compliant internet server with industry-standard CGI-BIN capabilities.

Vendor Kit

The pre-release Vendor Kit consists of the following two pieces:

• ppnvendor: The ppnvendor module enables your web site for PayPerNet payments. This CGI-BIN application records the order information and your PayPerNet identification and transfers your client to the PayPerNet site for payment after having ordered with you.
  You should invoke this CGI-BIN only if the user wants to pay through PayPerNet. Examples and How-To support will be available.
• inquirer: the inquirer module provides you with the capability to query the PayPerNet system for your order- and payment status. You can query the total amount due to you and which orders have paid for or cancelled during a given period. You will also have the capability to cancel client orders yourself.

Written in Java, the modules run on any Java-compliant machine. Modules use 1024-bit RSA encryption for maximum protection of all information while in transit to PayPerNet.

The good news first: it's free and will remain free! Then the bad news. As you may have noticed we are currently rather tight-lipped about the details of our payment system. At this time we do not allow anybody to try the prerelease Vendor Kit without signing a non-disclosure agreement.
